Cronulla Sharks star Josh Dugan has been cleared of injury after the former Origin centre was rushed to hospital due to a training mishap this morning.<\/p>\n
Dugan was injured in a contact drill and was picked up by an ambulance from the team's training facilities fearing damage to his neck.<\/p>\n
Tests in hospital have cleared the 30-year-old centre of serious injury.<\/p>\n
"It was more a precautionary measure," media spokesman Rob Willis told News Corp.<\/p>\n
"He got a heavy knock to the neck\/shoulder area. They were just very cautious and didn't want to take any risks."<\/p>\n

Dugan is in the final year of his $900,000 contract with the Sharks, and faces a fight to stay at Sharks beyond this season.<\/p>\n
Dugan, Shaun Johnson, Matt Moylan and Aaron Woods are all off contract at Cronulla after this year.<\/p>\n
The former NSW and Australian star last year rejected reports he was close to being medically retired by the club.<\/p>\n
