Ash Barty will be expecting more of herself after she was pushed to a third-set tie-break by American underdog Shelby Rogers at the Yarra Valley Classic.<\/p>\n
Barty eventually sailed away with the victory 7-5 2-6 10-4(TB), however, it was less than ideal after she coughed up some big leads early in the match to be caught up by her opponent.<\/p>\n
Leading 5-2 in the first, Barty failed to close out the set on numerous occasions, pushed to 7-5.<\/p>\n

She was then rolled in the second 6-2, before regrouping for a dominant display in the tie-break.<\/p>\n
Although the Aussie never looked out of her depth, it's hiccups like those she'll want out of her game come Monday's grand slam.<\/p>\n
"It was not straight forward but the World No.1 figures out a way," commentator Nick McCarvel said in commentary.<\/p>\n
The win sees Barty into the semi-finals, where she'll meet either 23-time grand slam winner Serena Williams or 13th-seeded Danielle Collins, who were meeting in an all-American quarterfinal.<\/p>\n

"It was a tricky one obviously, when the roof shuts here the conditions get quite sterile," Barty said following the win.<\/p>\n
"I thought I did well to hang in there at times but Shelby was able to hit me off the caught at other times.<\/p>\n
