Tim Tszyu<\/a> and Carlos Ocampo made weight for their interim WBO super-welterweight title fight on the Gold Coast on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Tszyu<\/a> weighed in slightly leaner at 153.35 lbs while the Mexican challenger hit the scales at 153.75 lbs.<\/p>\n

All 14 fighters came in below the required weight limit, meaning all fights were made official for Sunday.<\/p>\n

While Tszyu will undoubtedly have his hands full with the experienced Mexican fighter, the man Tszyu really has his eye on, undisputed champ Jermell Charlo<\/a>, \ufeffmade a bizarre claim about the Australian's win over American Tony Harrison in March, while throwing shade at the younger Tszyu for trying to emulate the feats of his legendary father.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Showtime, Charlo was asked about his upcoming fight with Tszyu, which the WBO has ruled must happen before September 30, with the champion saying Tszyu benefited from Australian tap water, while Harrison did not look himself.<\/p>\n

"I feel like something ain't right with him (Harrison)," Charlo said.<\/p>\n

"Something about Australia.<\/p>\n

"The way we get treated in America in fight week and all that, I felt like it was a little bit different.<\/p>\n

"I know for a fact he didn't have his business orientation as well.<\/p>\n

"They probably put him in a nice hotel \u2026 they have nice hotels all over the world \u2026 but the secret thing about Australia is they got a little salt in their water.<\/p>\n

"So just rehydrating is going to be bad.<\/p>\n

"Just by the way you losing your weight, cutting, then you putting salt water in your body, you holding on \u2026 maybe the weight cut was the issue.<\/p>\n

"I'm not trying to make an excuse for him but \u2026 it's a little different over there, bro.<\/p>\n

"It had to be, just the audience, something wasn't right with him.<\/p>\n

"Me personally, if I'd have went over there I would have used that crowd, I would have automatically eliminated the crowd.<\/p>\n

"Shut 'em up and keep 'em shut up.<\/p>\n

"You doing good, you winning rounds; every time Tim try to do something they getting rowdy, I would use that energy."<\/p>\n

The undisputed super welterweight king said of Tszyu: "His daddy ain't in the ring, your daddy era is old.<\/p>\n

"You keep up with that style, you don't adapt to this new era, this new style, you're going to end up having more problems anyway.<\/p>\n

"Mohammed Ali was great in his era.<\/p>\n

"This is a different era right now."<\/p>\n

While Charlo threw some shade at the Australian as he continues his recovery from a hand injury, the American admitted the Aussie does pack a profound punch, even though he believes Tszyu studied his win over Harrison back in 2019.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Tim got power, we all seen that," Charlo added.<\/p>\n

"You can go back over his previous fights, he's 28 years old, he's young.<\/p>\n

"He didn't really have too much ring rust from his little break \u2026 but you back home over there and you got all your little fans, you getting advantages and stuff.<\/p>\n

\"Jermell<\/p>\n

"You back at home in your comfort.<\/p>\n

"I'm going to take him out of the comfortable position and see how it can do it when uncomfortable.<\/p>\n

"If you beat me, you beat me \u2013 best man wins.<\/p>\n

"I'm not here trying to hold on to undisputed record, I'm cool with that.<\/p>\n

"I'm just undisputed \u2014 and I've just worked too hard to have this so I'm just going to go the extra mile.<\/p>\n

"I definitely know for a fact that nobody else in boxing has what I possess in the ring, especially at my weight.<\/p>\n

"I'm a much larger fighter than people think.<\/p>\n

"My arms are faster and longer, I pack a different punch, my lateral movement is ridiculous.<\/p>\n

"I can't sing, but I can dance. I'm an artist in the ring."<\/p>\n
