The Perth Scorchers have booked their ticket to yet another BBL<\/a> final, but are still none the wiser as to whether star import Jason Roy<\/a> will be fit to take part in the decider.<\/p>\n

Roy's stand-in, former Australian Test batsman Cameron Bancroft, combined with Liam Livingstone to brilliant effect at the top of the order as the Scorchers piled on a mammoth score of 1-189 off 18.1 overs before rain intervened in their BBL qualifier<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Set 200 to win, the Brisbane Heat<\/a> did not recover from the early loss of skipper Chris Lynn, finishing on 9-150 off their 18 overs, 49 runs adrift of the required target.<\/p>\n

While Bancroft filled in ably for Roy with a composed unbeaten 58 off 42, he is likely to make way for Roy, should the Englishman be ruled fit for the final.<\/p>\n

Following the contest, Scorchers all-rounder Mitch Marsh was unable to give a definitive answer on Roy's availability for Saturday's decider against the Sydney Sixers.<\/p>\n

"I'm not sure," Marsh told Fox Cricket when asked whether Roy could be fit for the final.<\/p>\n

"We've got 'Magic' Jones as a physio, I've already labelled him as 'Magic' Jones, so you never know. <\/p>\n

"If he doesn't (play in the final), we've got full confidence in Bancroft to do a great job for us."<\/p>\n

Bancroft put on a mammoth 114-run partnership with Livingstone, who plundered the Heat attack all over the ground in his 39-ball innings of 77, before the promoted Marsh smashed a quick-fire unbeaten 49 off just 28 deliveries. <\/p>\n

The Scorchers' opening pair's assault was so violent that the Heat substituted their best bowler in the entire competition, Mark Steketee, after just 10 overs<\/a> for X-Factor Morne Morkel.<\/p>\n

The decision left the paceman scratching his head, and his mood would not have improved seeing his replacement register less than flattering figures of 0-45 off four overs.<\/p>\n

Perth's win sets up a grudge match of sorts with the Sydney Sixers, who dismantled them in the qualifier five nights ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There have been rumours of some bad blood between the two squads, but Marsh urged his side to play the ball in the final, rather than the man.<\/p>\n

"We've got a great rivalry with the Sixers, yes," he admitted.<\/p>\n

"I think it will be really important for us to play on skill and not emotion. You could see that I played on emotion last game and it didn't work out too well for me."<\/p>\n

Saturday's meeting will be the fourth BBL final between the Scorchers and Sixers, with the Scorchers winning the last two finals, including the most recent in the 2016-17 season.<\/p>\n
