A\ufeffussie tennis<\/a> great Wally Masur<\/a> has suggested a surprise post-playing career for countryman Nick Kyrgios<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old set tongues wagging on Wednesday when he engaged in an intriguing Twitter chat with Hollywood A-lister Ben Stiller.<\/p>\n

\ufeffIt began when Kyrgios – who withdrew from Roland-Garros<\/a> due to injury and has not played since late last year – posed, "Thinking about coaching, any takers?".<\/p>\n

Stiller replied, "I'm open to it. But would need to know you're serious".<\/p>\n

Kyrgios responded, "Let's do it. I'm all in, what you thinking?".<\/p>\n

"First we need to decide who is coaching who," Stiller continued, to which Kyrgios replied, "I'll coach you to get you in a professional tournament, then you coach me to get me in a movie".<\/p>\n

\ufeffKyrgios and Stiller had interacted publicly previously during the Indian Wells tournament, when the Aussie responded to a heckler by pointing at Stiller, who was sitting in the crowd, and asking, "Do I tell him how to act?".<\/p>\n

Whether Kyrgios is serious about getting into tennis coaching or not, Masur believes it would be a suitable career path.<\/p>\n

"You know what? Nick would actually make a great coach," Masur told Stan Sport's Grand Slam Daily.<\/p>\n

"He has great tennis nous. He really does.<\/p>\n

\"Nick<\/p>\n

"Not that he will, but he would (make a great coach). You don't believe me? You look dubious.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

Grand Slam Daily host Chris Stubbs was not so convinced.<\/p>\n

"I believe you on the IQ, it's just Nick having to coach someone and be serious and controlled and measured," Stubbs said.<\/p>\n

"It would be cool to see. And him and Ben Stiller – you could make a movie just about that.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

Kyrgios himself has not had a coach for a number of years, being one of only a handful of players on tour to opt against employing one.<\/p>\n

He has said on a number of occasions he knows his game better than anyone else, so he sees no need for a coach.<\/p>\n

"I would never put that burden on someone," Kyrgios said last year.<\/p>\n

"I feel like no one knows my tennis better than I do. I've been playing this sport since I was seven… I'm pretty happy."<\/p>\n
