NRL legend Andrew Johns<\/a> has opened up on his uncertainty around the NSW Blues halves positions as Brad Fittler<\/a> considers a number of options.<\/p>\n

Nathan Cleary's hamstring injury against the Dragons<\/a> – which has ruled him out for six weeks – meant Fittler has to select a new halfback, while Jarome Luai's position is under scrutiny. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Nicho Hynes, Jarome Luai, Adam Reynolds, Cody Walker and Mitchell Moses could all find themselves in the halves come June 21, as the Blues attempt to save the series.<\/p>\n

Fittler wasn't willing to divulge any information on the halves situation and Blues consultant Johns revealed he's unsure who \ufeffthe coach should go with.<\/p>\n

"It's hard because one week to go you don't want to put all your eggs in and all of a sudden two go down this weekend," he said on Wide World of Sports' Freddy & The Eighth<\/em><\/a>. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"I can't say, because I don't know who I'd pick, I haven't given it much thought."<\/p>\n

Johns explained a number of factors will come into selection, particularly since the must-win fixture will be played in Brisbane. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"If you're going up there to Suncorp with the series on the line, do you need someone who's fresh that just goes out there and plays? Do you need experience? Do you need combinations?" he pondered.<\/p>\n

"All that comes in, you've got right side players of the field like Reynolds, Hynes, Moses and you've got left side predominant players like Luai and Cody [Walker], so that all has to go in, combinations, the combinations with the dummy half, Tedesco."<\/p>\n

The Blues legend also offered up a potential option outside of the five players previously mentioned. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Someone threw a left field one at me this morning, and said 'do you reckon Latrell could play five-eighth?'," he said.<\/p>\n

"I said 'of course he could'."<\/p>\n
