Novak Djokovic<\/a> continued his running battle with members of the French crowd, taking action against a heckler in his defeat of Karen Khachanov at Roland-Garros<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Managing to choose the right shot every time, managing to put each ball precisely where he intended, Djokovic threw a shutout of a tiebreaker to point himself toward what would become a 4-6, 7-6 (0), 6-2, 6-4 victory over the 11th seed.<\/p>\n

The Serbian star has copped boos all tournament from some sections of the crowd in an issue that has seen several players complain about their treatment on court.<\/p>\n

However, Djokovic did have a few moments throughout the clash that seemed to spur him on.<\/p>\n

He turned the tables when he\ufeff he made a superb approach shot winner in the fourth set, pointing to a heckler and then blowing a kiss at them.<\/p>\n

"Novak's like, 'thank you for yelling at me!'" John McEnroe said on EuroSport. "The crowd is starting to get on him. Khachanov is getting frustrated, he's screaming over, 'how does this guy keep hitting [the] lines?'"<\/p>\n

In his words, Djokovic felt \u201cquite sluggish, quite slow\u201d for nearly two full sets and called it his worst stretch of the tournament, a fair assessment.<\/p>\n

He dropped the opening set, something he hadn't done at Roland-Garros this year. As the second went to a tiebreaker in Court Philippe Chatrier, he knew it was vital to step up his game, bring forth his best.<\/p>\n

It's one thing to seek perfection; it's another entirely to deliver. As if merely wanting so made it so, Djokovic did what he's done before at crucial moments over the years en route to 22 grand slam titles.<\/p>\n

Djokovic, who will meet No.1 Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals, found one word to describe that segment of the match: \u201cAmazing".<\/p>\n

Alcaraz, who beat Djokovic on clay at the Madrid Masters last year in their only previous encounter, beat No.5 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the last men\u2019s quarter-final.<\/p>\n
