I think I was a fair bit ahead. He played it hard on the entry and I played hard on the exit, so I think it was fair.\u00a0<\/p>\n "We'll discuss it. It's never optimal to do it with your teammates, but if you race hard you have to race hard back, so it's all good."<\/p>\n The incident comes at a time when Rosenqvist has no place cemented on the 2024 grid.<\/p>\n He found himself in the same situation last year but was gifted a lifeline when Alex Palou's move to McLaren was kiboshed by the well-documented contract fracas.<\/p>\n https:\/\/twitter.com\/ArrowMcLaren\/status\/1665471499728306177<\/a><\/p>\n Talk of Palou moving to McLaren next year has died down, although it is still rumoured to be a consideration.<\/p>\n McLaren has foreshadowed an expansion to accommodate Palou, which could conceivably keep Roseqnvist at the team.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, there is also talk of Marcus Ericsson, another Chip Ganassi Racing driver, moving stables.<\/p>\n Asked if his approach had changed given his contract situation, Rosenqvist said, "I race the same every race."<\/p>\n "I don't think it's anything to do with the future. I'm not worried about my future," he added.<\/p>\n "I'm racing as hard as I can every race.\u00a0It's always tough out there in IndyCar. I shouldn't be ashamed of being elbows out. I think it was all fair play and the car is tough.\u00a0<\/p>\n "Obviously I don't want to race teammates too much, it's never fun, but that's the way it is.
