One of the rare things that might take precedence is barbecue\u2014which is actually a sport in the state. And at least one coach has managed to find success in coaching both.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/moresports\/story\/_\/id\/37740321\/inside-world-texas-high-school-barbecue-state-championship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dave Wilson at ESPN<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, former Rockwell varsity football coach Sean Hill has led his team to a 2023 Texas HS BBQ State Championship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Just three years after his change of careers, Hill coached a team to his elusive first state championship.
