Aussie Jordan Thompson momentarily lost his cool during his win over Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert after some noisy Greek fans proved too much for play to continue.<\/p>\n
Thompson advanced through to the third round of the Great Ocean Road Open with a thrilling three-set win over Herbert, 6-4 3-6 6-3.<\/p>\n
It took five match points for the Australian world No.52, three on his own serve, as Herbert threatened to get his foot back in the door before ultimately hanging on.<\/p>\n
But Thompson's win wasn't without interruption when let his frustrations get the better of him at the sound coming from outside the stadium.<\/p>\n
The noise came from a contingent of Greek fans who were chanting while they waited to enter Rod Laver Arena for Greece's ATP Cup clash against Australia which was scheduled for the night session.<\/p>\n

The incident during the second set prompted Thompson to inform chair umpire, Gregory Allensworth, to get on the phone and do something about it.<\/p>\n
"Let's tell the peanut gallery to be quiet," Thompson yelled after losing one of his break points in Herbert's service game.<\/p>\n
Allensworth then hopped on the mic to inform the fans outside the stadium to silence themselves.<\/p>\n
"Thank you ladies and gentlemen in the corridor between Margaret Court and Court 3, we can hear you out here on 3, thank you," he said.<\/p>\n
The noise eventually went away and Thompson was able to regather himself.<\/p>\n
