St George Illawarra Dragons<\/a> captain J\ufeffack De Belin<\/a> will be sweating on the match review committee's decision on Friday morning after he was sin binned in the first half of his side's loss to the Dolphins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

De Belin assumed responsibility with regular skipper Ben Hunt on Origin duties and couldn't lead his side to victory with the Dolphins coming home strong in a comfortable 26-12 win<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\ufeffAfter 27 minutes the forward was off for 10 minutes after he was judged to have completed a dangerous tackle on Ray Stone.<\/p>\n

Rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns was strong in his condemnation of the tackle. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffThey have to be above the knees that third man in … that's so dangerous, they've got to get that out of the game," he said on Nine's NRL coverage.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

"If there's two men in the tackle, and you can't get the attacking player down, they have to change their technique. They shouldn't need the third man coming in."<\/p>\n

Initially De Belin was only penalised, however the Bunker intervened with Adam Gee putting him in the bin.<\/p>\n

Despite the frustration over the tackle, Paul Vautin and Johns were fired up at the Bunker. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffThat's not a sin bin," Vautin said.<\/p>\n

"The referee, they have a feel for when a sin bin should be. Penalty sufficient, play on\ufeff," Johns added.<\/p>\n

\"Dolphin<\/p>\n

Dragons coach Ryan Carr \ufeffexpressed some frustration at how the decision was made in the post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI want to have a look at some other things in the game that I'm really interested to see some contacts made to see if it could of been a similar outcome (to the sin bin) on the other side," he said.<\/p>\n

Carr was further pressed on whether he thought the officiating was inconsistent and agreed. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Not from first look \ufeffbut again I don't want to make too many outlandish comments, they (Dolphins) played a good game of footy, I don't want to make too many excuses for it," he said.<\/p>\n

"But at the end of the day I've got to look after the players and going through it, there seemed to be a lot of penalties early and all of a sudden the whistle went away late so I don't understand why."<\/p>\n

De Belin said he was "shocked" by the decision to sin bin him.<\/p>\n

"To be honest it happened pretty quickly … I don't think I went in too hard or too low with bad intent so I was pretty shocked in all honesty to be sin binned," he said in the post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

"It's disappointing on my end, you don't want to leave the team with 12-men."\ufeff<\/p>\n

The Dragons were in with a chance before De Belin went to the bin with the score 12-6 in the Dolphins favour.<\/p>\n

\ufeffJack Bird scored first for the away side, after Talatau Amone's try was ruled out by the Bunker the play before due to a completed tackle with Vautin frustrated at that decision too.<\/p>\n

In his 100th match, Jamayne Isaako scored in the 21st minute to level proceedings before cult hero Mark Nicholls went over three minutes later.<\/p>\n

Anthony Milford punished the Dragons for having only 12 players on the field, capitalising on an overlap to show everyone he's \ufeffstill capable of his top form.<\/p>\n

Dragons youngster scored right on half-time to give the Red V a sniff at 18-12 but it was all the Dolphins in the second half with Isaako scoring his second and kicking a penalty goal to seal a 26-12 victory. \ufeff<\/p>\n
