Swedish tennis<\/a> player Mikael Ymer was disqualified after slamming his racquet into the umpire's chair during a match at the Lyon Open.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old Ymer was upset that the umpire refused to check a line call in the 11th game of the first set of his second-round match against Arthur Fils.<\/p>\n

Ymer thought the ball went wide and pleaded for the umpire to check.<\/p>\n

"Show me the mark then. Show me the mark," Ymer said. "You thought it clearly bounced on the line? Then show me the mark on the line.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou saw it clearly bounce on the line, then show me the mark on the line,\u201d the 53rd-ranked Ymer added. \u201cI've never witnessed that a ref says 'I'm not going to go down and check the mark.' It doesn't happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

After that, Fils broke Ymer with a crosscourt backhand to take a 6-5 lead.<\/p>\n

Ymer then twice slammed his racquet into the bottom of the umpire's chair, leaving the stand damaged and his racquet in tatters. He was then defaulted.<\/p>\n

"Not justifying the reaction at all but the amount of people that think a bad bounce = line hit is insane," American Taylor Fritz wrote on Twitter. "Crazy bounces happen all over the court and especially near lines."<\/p>\n

Ymer enters Roland-Garros looking to pass the third round for the first time.<\/p>\n
