Apisai Koroisau<\/a> has made an irresistible case for selection in Brad Fittler's Blues squad with a strong showing in his side's unbelievable 66-18 win over the Cowboys<\/a> at Leichhardt Oval.<\/p>\n

On the cusp of Origin selection, Koroisau finished the match with an impressive individual scorecard which included three try assists, three line break assists, 27 tackles and two field goals.<\/p>\n

Former NSW representative Michael Ennis backed Koroisau for the Blues' hooker spot as the Tigers<\/a> captain battles with the Rabbitohs' Damien Cook.<\/p>\n

"On his performance again tonight it has to be Koroisau."\ufeff<\/p>\n

The outcome saw the Tigers exceed a half century for the first time in eight years on the way to the club's biggest ever results – a feat no Balmain, Western Suburbs or Wests Tigers side has ever achieved.<\/p>\n

T\ufeffhe Tigers were the first to score in the fifth minute following a beautiful set-up play from Koroisau who manipulated the Cowboys' defence close to the line for Stefano Utoikamanu to barge over.<\/p>\n

Tries followed for \ufeffJunior Tupou and David Nofoaluma before a fired-up Kyle Feldt opened the scoring for the Cowboys after 23 minutes.<\/p>\n

Jahream Bula scored his first NRL try as Fonua Pole added to the Tigers' dominant first half.<\/p>\n

Cowboys second-rower Luciano Leilua scored in his return game, while Reuben Cotter rounded out North Queensland's total with a try in the 61st minute.<\/p>\n

As the Tigers' score grew, Tupou and Nofoaluma scored their second before Starford To'a added his own double.<\/p>\n

Finally, Joe Ofahengaue and John Bateman scored to tick the Tigers over the historic 60-point mark.<\/p>\n
