Beauden Barrett<\/a> was at his scintillating best for the Blues<\/a> before limping off the field just five minutes into the second half of their clash against the Reds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Blues beat the Brisbane men with a dominant 45-26 win<\/a>, cementing their spot in the top four with two rounds of the regular season to go.<\/p>\n

It wasn't without some nervous moments for the Blues and All Blacks<\/a> selectors as playmaker Barrett walked off the field with a bloodied foot.<\/p>\n

The No.10 had just run the length of the field and got close to scoring off the back of a Mark Telea-led chip-and-chase.<\/p>\n

Barrett appeared to pull up fine but was soon spotted on the ground where he received medical attention.<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, Barrett hobbled off to the changing sheds. He played no further part in the match and was replaced by Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.<\/p>\n

Stan Sport commentators were left perplexed by the injury, with little in the way of information coming out of the Blues camp.<\/p>\n

"That's huge for Beauden Barrett," remarked Tim Horan as the All Blacks star walked off.<\/p>\n

"He's got his right ankle strapped, a bit of blood at the back there I think it is."<\/p>\n

Prior to the curious injury, Barrett drew praise from former Wallabies international Morgan Turinui at the half time break.<\/p>\n

Barrett scored in the first half after putting himself in clear air, finding a gap and receiving a pass from Telea but spinning out of a Reds tackle to score.<\/p>\n

"Setting up tries and on the ball stuff, but orchestrating, being influential without the ball, running a decoy \u2013 when he looks up, it sums up opportunities better than anyone I've ever seen," said Turinui.<\/p>\n

"He's in pure form tonight. There's a little bit (of talk) in New Zealand about 'Is he good enough? Should he go to the World Cup? What's he been like?' I tell you what, he stormed back into form tonight."<\/p>\n
