Just a day after long-awaited confirmation of a new deal to stay with the Eels<\/a>, Mitchell Moses<\/a> rewarded club bosses with a stunning performance to lead his side to a 20-point upset win over the Rabbitohs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moses put in a flawless performance with the boot and had four try assists in this side's 36-16 win at Allianz Stadium.<\/p>\n

The new deal is reportedly worth $1.2 million a season and will see him at the club until the end of 2026 with an option for an extra two years. Moses said it was "special".<\/p>\n

"I grew up supporting the club and to spend the next five years still here, and try to do something, we have a special group here," he told Nine's Danika Mason after the match.<\/p>\n

"Hopefully we can do something this year and in the future years."<\/p>\n

Moses said his side's performance against the Rabbitohs was one of their most complete performances of the season.<\/p>\n

Following back-to-back losses, the Eels could have turned to water when they trailed early in the second half.<\/p>\n

Instead, they rallied to score the last four tries of the match.<\/p>\n

"It was a big game for us with where we were sitting on the table," Moses said.<\/p>\n

"We weren't too [happy] with how we've been playing the last few weeks, but a few calls going our way and it's a different story.<\/p>\n

"We wanted to come here and compete tonight. I thought everyone did that."<\/p>\n

Dylan Brown in particular was sensational with a try, a try assist, three tackle busts, four offloads and 23 tackles.<\/p>\n

Moses said Brown had been their best player for the past five weeks.<\/p>\n

"He's been outstanding, setting the platform for us," he said.<\/p>\n

"If we can do what he is doing every week and compete on everything, and for 1-17 to do that, we'll win more games than lose."<\/p>\n

Sean Russell opened the scoring for the Eels in just the second minute. Bailey Simonsson picked up a double, while Bryce Cartwright, Brown and Will Penisini all got themselves on the board.<\/p>\n

But the Eels didn't escape completely unharmed. Scans on Saturday will reveal the extent of a calf injury sustained by Ryan Matterson, while Andrew Davey was also classed a category-one concussion, and will spend the next 11 days on the sideline.<\/p>\n

The Eels take on the Cowboys next Friday.<\/p>\n
