No Tommy Turbo and a bit of mongrel in Canberra's angry man Hudson Young – they are the two main selections I would make for the Blues<\/a> when they name their side for game one.<\/p>\n

Tom Trbojevic<\/a> has been among the game's elite players in recent years but his form and confidence are clearly down and I suspect the injuries he is carrying are worse than Manly<\/a> is letting on.<\/p>\n

In his place in the centres I would put Souths' Campbell Graham, who is in the best form of his career in 2023<\/a>. Graham is deadly near the tryline but also reads defence better than most centres in the NRL<\/a> and will keep Queensland's dangerous outside backs quiet.<\/p>\n

The Maroons had more 'animal' in their pack than NSW last year and that will only go up a notch with the selection of Canberra's fiery Corey Horsburgh<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Blues coach Brad Fittler<\/a> can cancel him out by picking his teammate Young, who has been great for the Raiders this year and is a player who won't take a backward step – just what you need in Origin football.<\/p>\n

I've chosen Josh Addo-Carr on the wing assuming he may be fit and Nicho Hynes to edge out Jarome Luai at five-eighth.<\/p>\n

Luai was back to his best against the Roosters last weekend but over the first third of the season, Hynes has played the better football.<\/p>\n
