The mum of Collingwood<\/a> forward Beau McCreery\ufeff treated the Magpies to one of the all-time great rev-ups ahead of their 65-point win over the Giants at the MCG on Mother's Day, with the video released by the club.<\/p>\n

In it, the colourful and parochial Julie McCreery steals the limelight, much to the delight of the players in the locker room.<\/p>\n

\ufeffCollingwood coach Craig McRae<\/a> sets the scene, addressing his players in the rooms before introducing Julie to have the final word (watch the video above<\/strong><\/em>).<\/p>\n

"To inspire you with my words, [I] try to show things that may lift you to another level. But I don't think I'm capable of that, so I'm going to get someone who is," McRae says before Julie enters the room.<\/p>\n

No stranger to giving a good \ufeffpep talk, Julie begins by commending the boys on their strong showing so far this season before launching into a list of instructions.<\/p>\n

"Go out there, make us proud. Believe in yourselves, believe in each other," Julie says.<\/p>\n

"Chase that ball. Tackle hard. Win those contests. And when you're in front of the goals, make it count. When you do, blow your mummas a kiss.<\/p>\n

"Go out there and rip it up, boys."<\/p>\n

Julie travelled from Adelaide to watch Beau play on Sunday with Collingwood going out of it's way to show their appreciation \ufefffor all the players' mothers and special women at the game.<\/p>\n

This included inviting all the mother-figures into the rooms before the game where the club arranged for each player to gift a bouquet.<\/p>\n

The mothers then formed a guard of honour for the players as they ran onto the field and were later involved in the team song after the victory.<\/p>\n

Speaking pre-match, McRae said the club was aspiring to be more family focused.<\/p>\n

"It was significant. We had the mums in our pre-game meeting [on Saturday]," he told Fox Footy.<\/p>\n

"I didn't realise how having their mum in the room how attentive the players were, they were so engaged, we might have to do it every week.<\/p>\n

"We want to be a family-first club and this is just one way we can show respect towards that."<\/p>\n
