B\ufeffrisbane Broncos<\/a> captain Adam Reynolds<\/a> could face a stint on the sidelines after suffering an injury in a controversial scenario against the Storm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At 16 minutes into the Thursday night football clash, the halfback appeared to have knocked himself out when contesting for the ball. It was later revealed he had lost feelings in his hands and fingers.<\/p>\n

In a match that descended into chaos, the captain's departure from the field left a big gap with the Broncos succumbing to a 24-16 loss at AAMI Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\ufeffMelbourne gradually took the game away from the Broncos in a game that featured four sin-bins and a number of melees.<\/p>\n

Reynolds' attempt to score came after Harry Grant and Herbie Farnworth both contested for the ball near the tryline.<\/p>\n

Grant was judged to have pushed Farnworth off his run according to the Bunker with \ufeffthe Broncos awarded a penalty try.<\/p>\n

Reynolds was stretchered off the \ufefffield, taken away in a neck brace.<\/p>\n

After speaking to Broncos medical staff, Nine's sideline reporter Danika Mason \ufeffconfirmed the halfback had regained feeling in his fingers and hands.<\/p>\n

"\ufeff\ufeffWhen Adam hit the ground, while he did hit his head, his neck also flung back and crushed one of the nerves in his spine so that's why he couldn't feel his fingers on the field … which was quite scary for him but good news is he's regained that feeling," Mason said.<\/p>\n

"He will not be back into the action at all tonight."<\/p>\n

Reynolds was also assessed for a head injury in which he was classified with category two concussion symptoms.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe round 11 opener was full of carnage, with Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona \ufeffappearing to suffer a rib cartilage injury, leaving the field after 31 minutes. However, he eventually returned.<\/p>\n

When Farnworth's penalty try was awarded, scores were tied at 6-6 before winger Jesse Arthars made it 10-6 after 23 minutes.<\/p>\n

Farnworth would go to the bin just before half-time for a professional foul with Will Warbrick scoring a minute later to make it 10-10 at the break.<\/p>\n

Controversy struck in the 55th minute when Patrick Carrigan was sent to the sin-bin for a hip-drop tackle on Asofa-Solomona, much to the dismay of Nine's commentary team. \ufeff<\/p>\n

\"Carrigan\u00a0goes\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0bin\"<\/p>\n

"I think they got that totally wrong," Billy Slater said.<\/p>\n

"That's just momentum, swinging around the tackle."<\/p>\n

By the time Carrigan returned to the field, the Storm were up 16-10, then Warbrick scored his second in the 74th minute to make it 24-10.<\/p>\n

Tom Flegler and Christian Welch got in a stink, before Flegler came \ufefftogether with Aaron Pene who was at marker, allowing Cory Paix to run in to score and give Brisbane a sniff with two and a half minutes left.<\/p>\n

Flegler and Pene were both sent to the bin after the try was awarded to make it four\ufeff for the night.<\/p>\n

The Storm held on for a 24-16 victory. \ufeff<\/p>\n
