R\ufeffugby league great Brad Fittler<\/a> has taken the CEO of the Warriors<\/a>' major sponsor to task, suggesting he could be taken to court by referee Todd Smith.<\/p>\n

Jason Paris, \ufeffchief of telco One New Zealand, used his Twitter account on Saturday to level stunning accusations<\/a> at the NRL and its officials.<\/p>\n

As he watched his team lose to the Panthers in Magic Round he accused the game referees of "cheating of the highest order".<\/p>\n

\ufeffWhen his tweets gained media attention, Paris attempted to backtrack but ended up doubling down on his allegations.<\/p>\n

"I do believe that there is unconscious bias happening every week against the Warriors and it needs to be addressed," he tweeted in a lengthy post on Monday.<\/p>\n

Fittler could not believe what he read.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"That was disgraceful what he said. Disgraceful," Fittler told Wide World of Sports' Freddy and the Eighth<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

"(The referee) should be able to sue him through a court. You just can't do that. Awful.<\/p>\n

"You can take him to court with a defamation case. I thought it was awful."<\/p>\n

The Warriors lost the penalty count 5-3 against Penrith and had two players sin-binned during the loss.<\/p>\n

\ufeffJackson Ford was marched for a hip-drop tackle, and then young outside back Demitric Sifakula was binned for striking Nathan Cleary during a melee.<\/p>\n

Fittler was confused as to what Paris found wrong with the way the game was officiated, pointing to the \ufeffSifakula incident in particular.<\/p>\n

"Get some discipline," Fittler said of the Warriors.<\/p>\n

"The bloke came in and went like that (punching motion) – he didn't have to do it.<\/p>\n

"Get your shit in order.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

The NRL is investigating the Paris comments but has so far not announced any outcome.<\/p>\n
