A\ufeff bizarre boxing<\/a> press conference was hijacked when a Jake Paul<\/a> employee threatened the brother of combat legend Nate Diaz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Paul and Diaz will fight in August, and fronted media on Wednesday to field questions about their looming bout.<\/p>\n

But things took a wild turn when the microphone was handed to a man who claimed to be "Derek from Betr Media".<\/p>\n

Betr Media is a start-up company that Paul runs.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"Nate, I'm actually a boxer myself and I have been trying to get on this undercard," the man supposedly called Derek began.<\/p>\n

"I'm just wondering if you think I could fight your brother, Nick?<\/p>\n

"If he's anything like you I think I'd beat his f—ing arse."<\/p>\n

Diaz's older brother Nick also fights in the UFC.<\/p>\n

The American brawler looked stunned by the bizarre comment at first, and then delivered a threat of his own to Derek.<\/p>\n

"You know my homeboys see you right now," Diaz said, pointing around the room.<\/p>\n

"That was stupid, huh? That was stupid.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

Derek admitted, "yeah, I'm pretty nervous right now", before Diaz gave him another serve.<\/p>\n

"Hey, Derek from Betr Media, you're a stupid arse motherf—er," he said.<\/p>\n

"The f—? You deserve to have your arse whipped."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Paul, while laughing, cut in to explain Derek\ufeff was an employee of his, and promptly promised to fire him.<\/p>\n

"He works for my company. I'll handle that later. I'm sorry about that, Nate," Paul said.<\/p>\n

"I'll fire him later. Derek, shut up."<\/p>\n

Paul, \ufeff26, hinted he will hang up the gloves if he loses to Diaz in August.<\/p>\n

"In my mind that's how I'm treating it," he said.<\/p>\n
