Western Sydney Wanderers<\/a> midfielder Milos Ninkovic<\/a> was ejected from Sydney FC<\/a>'s dressing rooms following the Sky Blues' resurgent 2-1 victory in Saturday's Sydney derby at CommBank Stadium.<\/p>\n

Ninkovic, a Sydney FC legend, added extra spice to the derby by joining the Wanderers this season after his seven-year tenure with the Sky Blues ended dramatically over a spat concerning his playing future.<\/p>\n

Following the destructive elimination final loss, Ninkovic entered his former team's dressing rooms before clashing with his ex-coach Steve Corica, according to media present.<\/p>\n

Ninkovic and Corica traded barbs before Ninkovic, a premiership player and two-time Johnny Warren Medallist, was escorted back to the Wanderers' sheds by Sydney FC officials.<\/p>\n

"He just came to wish the players all the best, have a good season. That's what he came in for," Corica told the media when asked what had transpired.<\/p>\n

"He's just upset, obviously, losing the game. We have issues with him, obviously. But that's between me and him."<\/p>\n

Since \ufeffNinkovic's departure, the duo have waged a public dispute over which party was responsible for the relationship breakdown.<\/p>\n

Wanderers coach Marko Rudan alleged Ninkovic was sledged during the match by Corica.<\/p>\n

"My understanding [is] that Milos went in there to congratulate his old teammates, and their coach didn't appreciate him being in there. And something that occurred between those two which wasn't pleasant, it was quite fiery," he said.<\/p>\n

"I haven't seen Milos yet, so I haven't spoken to him about that. But I think it all started in the game where I think their coach said something not very nice on the sideline to Milos. But it's football. These things kind of happen."<\/p>\n

Ninkovic struggled to stamp his influence on the match as the Wanderers sunk in the second half of their first finals appearance since 2017.<\/p>\n

The incident capped off a tense encounter that saw rival players clash on several occasions.<\/p>\n

"A lot of passion from the players, you can see that \u2013 they knew how big that win was," Corica said post-match.<\/p>\n

"I'm really proud of them the way they fought back into the game in the second half. There was only one team playing, I think. It's very emotional, the derby, so we need to come back down to earth very quickly and start preparing for the next game."<\/p>\n

Sydney FC \ufeffwill get its first opportunity to secure a grand final berth on Friday night, meeting Melbourne City in the first instalment of a two-legged semi-final series.<\/p>\n
