Port Adelaide<\/a> youngster Jason Horne-Francis<\/a> stood up for his side as the Power recorded a heart-stopping seven-point win over the Saints<\/a> at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.<\/p>\n

With the 12.11 (83) to 11.10 (76) victory,\ufeff Port Adelaide has now come out on top in 12 of their past 13 matches against the Saints and won eight straight games at the Docklands stadium.<\/p>\n

It was the Saints who controlled the match early\ufeff, kicking five goals to two in the opening quarter. However, after being held goalless in the second term, the defensive pressure from both sides set up for a seesawing affair after half time.<\/p>\n

The performance saw \ufeffteen sensation Horne-Francis register a game-high 18 contested possessions, a career-high 11 clearances and seven score involvements despite being the target of boos from a group of St Kilda supporters.<\/p>\n

Horne-Francis achieved nine clearances in the first half alone – a significant increase on his previous best of eight across an entire match.<\/p>\n

AFL<\/a> great Garry Lyon labelled the jeering as "embarrassing" for those concerning themselves with Horne-Francis' controversial trade home to South Australia.<\/p>\n

"I'm of the opinion that anyone who pays their money can boo when they go to a game of footy, but in this instance the people booing have got to realise how stupid they look," he said in commentary for Fox Footy.<\/p>\n

"There's no history between Jason Horne-Francis and the St Kilda footy club. The St Kilda footy club are on top of the ladder and playing the best footy they have for a long, long time, the fans should be that excited about the way they're going.<\/p>\n
