N\ufefforth Queensland<\/a>'s Jeremiah Nanai<\/a> is facing a long stint on the sideline after being charged by the match review committee.<\/p>\n

Nania has been hit with a grade three dangerous contact charge for his hip-drop on Braden Hamlin-Uele in Cronulla's 44-6 win.<\/p>\n

He'll be banned for four weeks if he takes the early plea, and five weeks if he fights the charge at the judiciary and loses.<\/p>\n

"I haven't reacted that way ever in a game, and as accidental as it was, it was dirty," Hamlin-Uele told the Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"I know he [Nanai] doesn't want to go out there and injure me, but he did.<\/p>\n

"And he has to accept the fact it was dirty. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did, and I apologise for that part of it, but it's one of those hard ones to judge.<\/p>\n

"I feel like the punishment should fit the crime now. I'll leave that one to the match review committee.<\/p>\n

"I did hear a pop. I didn't react the way I did because it was a fake injury. I'm in a brace now."<\/p>\n

Nine commentator Andrew Johns labelled the tackle one of the worst hip-drops he's seen.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"That is a bad one. We have had a few this year where I thought they were accidents, that one there, that is dangerous," he said.<\/p>\n

"He is lucky he hasn't got a broken leg.<\/p>\n

"The worrying thing for that one, there was no momentum. Sometimes you see momentum and they naturally swing. He stops, and he swings himself around."<\/p>\n

Referee Gerard Sutton had no hesitation in sending Nanai to the sin bin.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"You swing around and you come down on the legs. It is dangerous contact, on report, in the bin," he said.<\/p>\n

Nanai was suspended for two matches earlier this year<\/a> after pleading guilty to a dangerous throw in North Queensland's round four win over the Titans.\ufeff<\/p>\n
