Eels<\/a> grand final centre Waqa Blake<\/a> could be the next player to make the move to rugby union.<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago Wide World of Sports reported that Blake is in danger of being squeezed out of Parramatta by salary cap pressure<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is coming off contract at season's end and rival clubs are keen, but Blake may join the Western Force in Super Rugby for personal reasons.<\/p>\n

His young kids now live in Perth and I'm being told that he wants to be closer to them.<\/p>\n

With no professional league team based in Perth, rugby union shapes as his best option.<\/p>\n

The Force would pay good money for a player of Blake's class and the Eels would not stand in his way.<\/p>\n

The Eels have spent much of their salary cap re-signing and upgrading members of their current squad.<\/p>\n

Fijian-born Blake began his NRL career with the Panthers in 2015 but has been with the the Eels since midway through 2019, playing in last year's grand final.<\/p>\n
