The Broncos<\/a> are about to embark on the toughest four weeks of their season and the experts are jumping off the bandwagon due to some big time omissions.<\/p>\n

Payne Haas<\/a> and Ezra Mam will both miss Friday night's heavyweight clash with the Rabbitohs due to suspensions<\/a> and star winger Corey Oates has been sidelined with a knee injury.<\/p>\n

Those absences could cost the competition frontrunners their three-point buffer at the top of the ladder, with Andrew Johns<\/a> and Brad Fittler<\/a> both expecting Souths<\/a> to do a number on them.<\/p>\n

That's despite the fact that Fittler still has his doubts about the premiership claims of the Rabbitohs.<\/p>\n

"[Tevita] Tatola's back for South Sydney, \ufefftheir back row's interesting – Jacob Host who's done a good job from last year and he's sort of cementing that role and [Michael] Chee-Kam, so a couple of mobile back rowers, they haven't convinced me yet, but we'll see," Fittler told Johns on Wide World of Sports' Freddy and the Eighth's Tips<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fittler and Johns' tips reflect the value of Haas in particular, with Brisbane's workaholic front-rower \ufeffcementing his status as the best prop in the game with some huge performances this season.<\/p>\n

Haas' absence leaves the Broncos looking thin in the middle, with the challenge of containing the Rabbitohs' first choice front row pairing of Tatola and Jai Arrow for the first time all season. \ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeffCombine that with the makeshift halves pairing of Adam Reynolds and Jock Madden named by Kevin Walters<\/a> and the Broncos face an uphill battle to stick with a team capable of pouring on the points when Cody Walker and Latrell Mitchell are on their game.<\/p>\n

Should the Broncos lose Friday night's encounter they will likely play for the right to hold top spot after 10 rounds next Friday night when they face the high-flying Sea Eagles in a Magic Round blockbuster.\ufeff<\/p>\n
