R\ufeffabbitohs-bound playmaker Jack Wighton<\/a> has exposed a social media user's racist abuse and slammed the perpetrator as a "little coward".<\/p>\n

Raiders<\/a> ace Wighton, one of many Indigenous stars in the NRL<\/a>, posted a screenshot of direct messages he received on Instagram, laying bare disgusting comments related to his signing with South Sydney this week.<\/p>\n

"Stooping low here," Wighton wrote.<\/p>\n

"For what reason little coward."\ufeff<\/p>\n

The perpetrator told Wighton to "f–k off now", after the Raiders five-eighth inked a four-year deal with the Rabbitohs<\/a> reportedly worth\ufeff $800,000 per year.<\/p>\n

When the 2020 Dally M Medal winner joins South Sydney at the end of this season, he and close mate Latrell Mitchell will become teammates.<\/p>\n

Mitchell was a victim of racist abuse during the Rabbitohs' clash with the Panthers in Penrith in round two<\/a>, copping a vile remark as he walked up the race at half-time.<\/p>\n

The NRL floated the possibility of the perpetrator, a 14-year-old boy, meeting the Rabbitohs fullback<\/a>, suggesting it could help educate him, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.<\/p>\n

That suggestion left South Sydney raging.<\/p>\n

"We do not believe a meeting would be of any benefit in this situation," a South Sydney spokesperson told The Sydney Morning Herald.<\/p>\n

"There are thousands of people at matches every week behaving perfectly well, who would love to meet Latrell. Why should those who don't behave get the opportunity to meet any great player in the game?"\ufeff<\/p>\n

A host of Indigenous AFL stars, including Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Charlie Cameron and Izak Rankine, have also been targeted by racist abuse this season.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Wighton and his Raiders will face the \ufeffDolphins at Wagga Wagga's McDonalds Park on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
