Roosters<\/a> skipper James Tedesco called for tighter security at NRL<\/a> games after a pitch invader made contact with Dragons star Zac Lomax.<\/p>\n

With less than five minutes left in Tuesday's Anzac Day clash at Allianz Stadium<\/a>, players had their backs turned as they waited for a captain's challenge with the game in the balance at 27-26, when a shirtless fan ran onto the field and put his arm around Lomax.<\/p>\n

He was allowed to linger for what Tedesco considered an unacceptable length of time before security escorted him off the field.<\/p>\n

Once security got to the pitch invader he walked off with the officials without resistance.<\/p>\n

"It's very dangerous, who knows what the invader could have on them, or attack a player," Tedesco said.<\/p>\n

"It's a bit scary, security obviously need to be better there and not allow pitch invaders to get in contact with any players."<\/p>\n

Dragons captain Ben Hunt added: "I guess it's a concern if someone can get to a player and tackle them or something like that.<\/p>\n

"I guess it's dangerous, but what do you do? You can't put a thousand security [guards] around the fence. You've just got to be aware of it when they are coming on, I guess."<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old man was handed over to police and charged with common assault and remaining on the field.<\/p>\n
