I actually still don't know who won," Herbert told Wide World of Sports.<\/p>\n "It seemed like everyone enjoyed themselves, but I don't know what the focus level was in terms of the actual results.<\/p>\n "But it was good for the players to get down and good for the Aussie public to be exposed to that level of golf.<\/p>\n "We don't get to see that really ever. We get a Presidents Cup maybe once every 10 years and that's about it.<\/p>\n "That seems to be the only way to get that really good talent down to Australia. I'm happy for them to do that."<\/p>\n Herbert has no interest in the LIV league – which is funded by the Saudi government and has been labelled a blatant sportswashing exercise – \ufeffand is one of many professionals choosing to instead pledge his career to the DP World and PGA tours.<\/p>\n But the success of LIV in Australia after only one event\ufeff has again highlighted how the PGA Tour in particular has left the country behind.<\/p>\n The DP World Tour co-sanctions the Australian Open and Australian PGA, and both those events drew the likes of Herbert, Cameron Smith, and Adam Scott last year, although they still lacked top-end international competitors.<\/p>\n "We have two DP World Tour events in Australia, so we do have the chance to get those guys down to play if they want to," Herbert said.<\/p>\n "It's just the way everything is set up with Australia, we don't have an economical system where we can afford to tip the money they can in America or other countries into a golf tournament.<\/p>\n "Which is a shame, because so many players would love to come out to play, but financially it's a terrible decision for them to do it basically.<\/p>\n "We would all love to see some of the best events come to Australia and play on some of our courses, and I know the Aussie fans would love that as well.<\/p>\n "It's the way the land lays I guess, it's tough to get non-Australians to come to Australia and play, because realistically they just don't need to.\ufeff<\/p>\n "I will try sell our tournaments to anyone on the tour as best I can, but it's very hard to with the timing, there is never a good time to play those events, really.<\/p>\n "Even in the holidays, no one wants to leave America in the holidays and leave their families, and realistically not playing for a lot of money down there either.<\/p>\n "If guys do come out they generally enjoy it.\ufeff"<\/p>\n https:\/\/twitter.com\/DPWorldTour\/status\/1650048782493425665?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw<\/a><\/p>\n Herbert – who has one PGA Tour victory to his name – claimed a third DP World Tour win when he clinched a playoff against \ufeffCanadian Aaron Cockerill in Japan.<\/p>\n His next event will be the year's second major, the PGA Championship, in late May.<\/p>\n "It's three weeks away, I've got a lot of preparation to do before that and hopefully be ready to go," he said.<\/p>\n "I go to every tournament with a goal to win, but your goals have to be pretty fluid throughout the week depending on how things are going.
