The injury woes of Tom Trbojevic<\/a> have continued after the superstar Manly<\/a> fullback left the field with 10 minutes remaining against Wests Tigers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Upon his departure, the Sea Eagles were down 16-14 at Campbelltown but managed to come back through a Jason Saab try to win 22-16<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The victory may be bittersweet for Manly though with Trbojevic \ufeffconfirmed to have picked up a groin injury in the process.<\/p>\n

While Trbojevic limping off the ground in pain was a horrible sight for Sea Eagles fans, coach Anthony Seibold confirmed the injury may not be as serious as first feared.<\/p>\n

"He's twinged his groin, he just said it felt uncomfortable to run so obviously he knows his body really well and said it's best to come off rather than hurting it any further," he said in the post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

"He's walking around the changeroom with an ice pack on, it doesn't appear to be too sinister but obviously he'll get scanned and we'll go from there but it's a groin injury."<\/p>\n

Seibold went on to explain there was a chance Trbojevic could've stayed out on the field. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"He felt as though he could keep playing, he just felt it when he ran and as I said he's being smart about it," he said.<\/p>\n

If scans don't come back in the fullback's favour, the potential injury could present serious problems for NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler as the State of Origin series draws near.<\/p>\n

With Trbojevic appearing to struggle throughout the match, Fittler confirmed the fullback has been encountering problems early in the season.<\/p>\n

"He's been carrying a hip pointer for a couple of weeks and you saw, I think last week, when he got a needle in a bad place which caused some back spasms," he said on Nine's NRL coverage.<\/p>\n

\ufeffUpon seeing footage of Trbojevic pulling up short when running at the opposition before leaving the field, Phil Gould believed it wasn't the only time.<\/p>\n

"He's done that a couple of times today, I don't think he was 100 per cent going in," he said.<\/p>\n

"I really doubt that he's done his groin in that incident, but that's where it was most noticeable.<\/p>\n

"I sensed a number of times today he wasn't 100 per cent."<\/p>\n

Trbojevic missed last year's State of Origin series with injury and spent time in America during pre-season to overcome his hamstring problems.<\/p>\n

\ufeffQueensland Maroons coach Billy Slater sympathised for the fullback.<\/p>\n

"It's horror luck, he's had a wretched run of injuries," he said on Nine's NRL coverage.<\/p>\n
