Adelaide<\/a> coach Matthew Nicks<\/a> has admitted he thought star forward Darcy Fogarty was making a mistake \ufeffwhen shaping up for a set shot with the game on the line.<\/p>\n

Fogarty drilled the game-winning goal for the Crows\ufeff, who overcame a late 13-point deficit to run out 11. 13. (79) to 11. 10. (76) winners<\/a> in Tasmania against Hawthorn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old took a mark with under two minutes left tucked into the left pocket and attempted a set shot as opposed to a snap as players usually do nowadays.<\/p>\n

However, he showed he knew exactly what he was doing by going back and drilling the set shot to perfection.<\/p>\n

Speaking post-match, even his coach admitted he didn't always have as much faith.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffW\ufeffe thought he should've snapped it," Nicks told the media.<\/p>\n

"I'm not sure there was enough room for a ball to fit in between the two posts, but there's not many [more] that you'd like it in their hands more than Darcy Fogarty. Tex (Walker) will get really upset with me saying that, but at the moment he'd probably agree with me.<\/p>\n

"I think Darcy is an outstanding set shot for goal. He is a beautiful kick of the ball, but I'd be lying if I said it would go through as a drop punt.<\/p>\n

"We've got so much more improvement that we're going to have to find if we want to get where we want to get to, but Darcy's ability to finish was pretty special."<\/p>\n

The win was Adelaide's fourth straight, continuing an excellent run of form after losing its first two matches of the year.<\/p>\n

Former captain Taylor Walker continued his incredible late-career renaissance with a four-goal haul, while Fogarty added three majors.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Adelaide will hope to make it five in a row next week when it hosts Collingwood in a blockbuster clash on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
