B\ufeffrisbane stars Ezra Mam<\/a> and Payne Haas each face a week on the sidelines following last night's victory over the Eels in Darwin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both players were charged with grade two dangerous contact offences\ufeff.<\/p>\n

Mam was cited for a tackle on Parramatta's Matt Doorey in the 63rd minute while Haas was charged for contact on Reagan Campbell-Gillard a minute later<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There was some conjecture around Haas' tackle, with some suggestions the Brisbane prop had no choice when making contact.<\/p>\n

"Is that a hip-drop?" Paul Gallen said on Nine's broadcast.<\/p>\n

"He drops his hip, lands on his knee. Is that a hip-drop?<\/p>\n

"Most tackles you could say there's some sort of hip-drop involved.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"That one's an accident … Can you penalise someone for that and charge someone for a hip-drop with that tackle? I don't think so."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Campbell-Gillard stumbled from the field and \ufeffhad to be helped into a seat in the Parramatta sheds by four people.<\/p>\n

"Sounding much worse than initially hoped for Reagan Campbell-Gillard \u2014 off to hospital with possible hip fracture\/high-grade groin," tweeted sports physiotherapist Brien Sweeney.<\/p>\n

"Amazing he was able to walk from the field.<\/p>\n

"Scans needed to confirm nature\/severity but several-week recovery sounding likely."<\/p>\n

Both players face a one-week suspension with an early guilty plea or a two-week ban if they unsuccessfully contest the charges at the judiciary.<\/p>\n

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur\ufeff said it was likely Campbell-Gillard will be out for an extended period.<\/p>\n

"I don't think it's great; it's his groin," Arthur said.<\/p>\n

"He's in a lot of pain, he can hardly walk.<\/p>\n

"I think it will be more than a couple of weeks (on the sidelines).<\/p>\n

"I'm not an expert on hip-drops, but to me they all looked pretty similar.<\/p>\n

"I'm not sure which one was the worst result.<\/p>\n

"If their feet are off the ground \u2014 and that's what happened … Yeah, go and ask Reg.<\/p>\n

"I didn't know J'maine's was at the start and then they showed the replay of the one at the end. It was similar to the other two."<\/p>\n

Arthur was asked if Haas should be cited for his tackle.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"That's not my call; I'm not the expert on hip-drops," said the Parramatta coach.<\/p>\n

"If the tackle is a hip-drop, then he should be charged.<\/p>\n

"The people who decide that will have to live with the decision that they make.<\/p>\n

"But I do know that we will be missing Reg for quite some time, and to my untrained eye, looking at all three tackles, they looked pretty similar to me."<\/p>\n

Eels forward J'maine Hopgood escaped a ban but was also charged for a grade one dangerous contact offence for a hip drop tackle on Cory Paix that saw him sent to the sin bin.<\/p>\n

Hopgood faces a $1,800 fine with an early guilty plea.<\/p>\n
