Match-winning fullback Latrell Mitchell – fresh from his stunning display for the Bunnies against premiers Penrith on Thursday night<\/a> – held a top secret meeting with the Raiders star on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Wide World of Sports spies spotted the pair having breakfast at The Grounds of Alexandria in inner Sydney around 8am.<\/p>\n

The pair were accompanied by their mutual manager Warwick Wright and advisor Matt Rose, the leading boxing promoter.<\/p>\n

But the meeting on Friday between the two good mates – and the fact they are managed by the same company – puts Souths in the box seat.<\/p>\n

The Rabbitohs' amazing last gasp win over Penrith would not have harmed the club's chances of signing the former Origin<\/a> star either.<\/p>\n

Wighton has stated he wants to win a premiership before he retires – and Souths showed on Thursday night they have the right stuff.<\/p>\n
