I\ufeffndian superstar Mohammed Siraj has revealed a dodgy approach from a punter during a series against Australia this year.<\/p>\n

The incident happened\ufeff during the one-day international series, which the Aussies won 2-1 after a Test series on the subcontinent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"It wasn't a bookie who approached Siraj," a BCCI source told ESPN.<\/p>\n

"It is a driver from Hyderabad who is addicted to betting on matches.<\/p>\n

"He had lost huge money, and approached Siraj for inside information.<\/p>\n

"Siraj reported the approach immediately. The law enforcement authorities have nabbed the man. More details are being awaited."<\/p>\n

Professional players are required to report any corrupt approach, whether it be for information or offering money to fix matches.<\/p>\n

Siraj, 29, played all three of the ODIs against Australia in March, taking five wickets for the series.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHe played three of the four Tests against the Aussies prior to that, but struggled for wickets as spinners dominated.<\/p>\n
