A stunning second-half performance from Brisbane Broncos<\/a>' star fullback Reece Walsh<\/a> has seen the Broncos flog the Titans<\/a> on the Gold Coast.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Trailing 12-6 midway through the first half, the Broncos looked as though they would need some magic to get them back in the game.<\/p>\n

Walsh stepped up and provided that spark, scoring a try of his own in the 50th minute to put Brisbane in front \ufeffalong with a try assist and a number of involvements in a dominant display.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Fox League<\/em> post-game, \ufeffWalsh said a simple message from coach Kevin Walters<\/a> inspired his side to eventually win 43-26.<\/p>\n

"They really gave it to us in that first half, Kev gave us a bit of a challenge to go out there and play Broncos footy, 'get back on the horse' as he says," he said.<\/p>\n

"I'm pretty proud of the boys to bounce back after last weekend's very disappointing loss (to Canberra)."<\/p>\n

While Walsh received much of the praise post-game, Walters was quick to point out that the fullback's performances will only get better once he grows comfortable with captain Adam Reynolds. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"Just looking from where I watch from he looks pretty quick out there … Adam and him have only had seven games together so once that combination builds we'll be a lot better for that," he said in the post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

"Walshy is \ufeffstill understanding his game and where he can bring himself into the game … but it's pretty exciting knowing where Reece is at in his career and he's got such a great mentor in Adam to direct him into the right space."<\/p>\n

The Titans burst out of the gate and opened the scoring in just the fourth minute through Phillip Sami, and were leading 14-6 in the shadows of half time when the tides turned.<\/p>\n

The Titans had dominated possession for about 15 minutes when Walsh charged down a Titans kick on his own 20m line.<\/p>\n

Martin Taupau was there to scoop it up, before getting it to Herbie Farnworth who ran up field to score.<\/p>\n

Second half tries to Walsh, Jesse Arthars, Kurt Capewell, Ezra Mam and Selwyn Cobbo put the game beyond doubt, although two late consolation tries to Kruise Leeming and Alofiana Khan-Pereira for the Titans gave the scoreline some respectability.<\/p>\n

It marked a clean sweep of Queensland derbies for the Broncos in 2023.The Broncos face the Eels in Darwin next Friday night, while the Titans will take on the Dolphins at Suncorp.\ufeff<\/em><\/p>\n
