A\ufeff fresh controversy has put the career of exiled North Melbourne<\/a> star Tarryn Thomas<\/a> on life support.<\/p>\n

Thomas, who was sent away from the club last month due to allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women<\/a>, posted a video to social media that appeared to show him driving dangerously down the middle of a highway.<\/p>\n

The video, which has since been deleted, was shown on Nine's Today on Wednesday morning<\/a>, featuring footage of Thomas driving a Mercedes with his feet up on the dashboard.<\/p>\n

The car was straddling the line in the middle of two lanes, with Today journalist Iza Staskowski reporting that he was driving interstate.<\/p>\n

The caption on the post, which Thomas shared with close friends on Instagram, said: "Living my best life," followed by two tears of joy emojis.<\/p>\n

The Kangaroos responded to the video in a statement on Tuesday night, which said: "North Melbourne is aware of a social media post by Tarryn Thomas from Monday night.<\/p>\n

"Thomas has been away from the AFL program for the past three weeks and will continue to spend time away from the club.<\/p>\n

"The club continues to assess Thomas' progress towards meeting club and community expectations.<\/p>\n

"He has not made adequate progress to be returned into the club environment at this stage."<\/p>\n

\ufeffThomas was stood down by North Melbourne three weeks ago after fresh claims of inappropriate behaviour towards women were made against him.<\/p>\n

The club also determined that he had not made sufficient progress in the respectful behaviour program that he was ordered into.<\/p>\n

"This decision has been made on the back of the education program put in place over the last eight weeks. We've seen some improvement in some of the understanding and accountability around that program we put in place," Kangaroos GM of football Todd Viney said at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n

"Unfortunately, (he's) still not quite at the level that he needs to be and that's been our own observations but also the observations from the key providers of some of those services we've put in place.<\/p>\n

"So Tarryn's still got some work to be done in that area before he's available to play for the football club.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

That development followed after Thomas had taken leave from the club during the off-season due to allegations of threats of violence against women.<\/p>\n

In January he was charged by police<\/a> with one count of threatening to distribute an intimate image. Thomas intends to fight that case, which has been adjourned to be heard in Broadmeadows court on July 18<\/a>.\ufeff<\/p>\n
