The Broncos<\/a> have scored a coup by signing Olympic<\/a> class bobsledder Ashleigh Werner from the Wests Tigers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Werner is the modern day version of the hit 1993 movie 'Cool Runnings' – based on a true story of how Jamaican sprinters turned their hand to bobsled – and qualified for the Winter Olympics\u2026 in reverse!<\/p>\n

She joined the Tigers for the 2022 NRLW<\/a> season after qualifying for the past two Winter Olympics, bagging a hat trick on debut in a fairytale start to her league career.<\/p>\n

But the 30-year-old flyer has signed a two-year deal with the Broncos which will be officially announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

"I'm very excited – it's a wonderful opportunity," Werner told Wide World of Sports.<\/p>\n

"The Broncos are such a professional club and they have been very welcoming.<\/p>\n

"But having said that, leaving the Tigers was a tough decision.<\/p>\n

"They have been incredible and I have so much love for the club and so much appreciation for the opportunities they've provided me."<\/p>\n
