Kane Cornes<\/a> has criticised Damien Hardwick<\/a>'s exchange with a journalist after the Tigers<\/a> coach took offence to being asked about Tom Lynch<\/a>'s bump on Alex Keath, saying he "came across as a sore loser".<\/p>\n

Lynch is facing the prospect of a suspension after his bump on Keath resulted in the Bulldogs defender being subbed out of the game in the first quarter through concussion.<\/p>\n

Hardwick was questioned by a reporter on his thoughts on the incident, but dodged the question and took a swipe at the broadcast instead, an act which did not sit well with Cornes, a former teammate of his.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI\ufeff thought he came across as a sore loser," he told Nine's AFL Sunday Footy Show<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

"He clearly knew what the journalist was asking him about and the incident he was referring to, so he played dumb in that moment.<\/p>\n

\"Richmond<\/p>\n

"\ufeffIt's nothing personal with Damien Hardwick. I just think if he had his time again, in the current landscape of football, it's clear that it's going to be a talking point."<\/p>\n

Cornes also took aim at Lynch for opting to bump Keath in that situation as opposed to going up for a marking attempt.<\/p>\n

"Lynch will miss a game for that, he will get suspended. He had an alternative to mark and he chose to bump," he said.<\/p>\n

"Alex Keath is subbed out of the game in the first quarter through concussion and obviously the journalist is not doing his job if he didn't ask that question.<\/p>\n

"That's not being tough in a marking contest. That is Tom Lynch once again having an alternative other than marking the footy.<\/p>\n

\"Lynch<\/p>\n

"He couldn't mark the footy, he chooses to bump and clearly in today's environment that is going to be looked at, and Damien Hardwick should've been conscious that was going to be a question that was going to come his way post-game.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

Hardwick was not in a great mood after the Tigers' five-point loss to the Bulldogs<\/a>, also taking aim at the AFL<\/a> over having to name a squad of 23 as opposed to 22 earlier in the week after ex-skipper Trent Cotchin was named as the medical sub.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"We've got to name people out of the 23 for god knows what reason," the triple premiership-winning coach said.<\/p>\n
