Wests Tigers<\/a> chairman Lee Hagipentelis has taken aim at critics of chief executive officer Justin Pascoe<\/a> as the club searches for its first win of the season.<\/p>\n

Pascoe, who started his role in 2015, has come under fire for his tenure with the Tigers not playing finals since 2011.<\/p>\n

He was also heavily criticised this week for being captured \ufeffon his phone in the dressing room<\/a> during Tim Sheens' half-time address against the Brisbane Broncos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking on SEN's Breakfast with Vossy and Brandy<\/em>, Hagipantelis believes the commentary towards Pascoe and his club is out of line.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffWe're not immune to criticism, we hear it, it's at Defqon.10 at the moment. You can't turn on the radio or TV, or pick up a newspaper without seeing our names," Hagipantelis said.<\/p>\n

"Some of the criticism is very, very personal, of course in particular with respect to our CEO (Justin Pascoe).<\/p>\n

"Some of the attacks seem personal and in my view, very unprofessional, calling him names on the radio and in print is somewhat amateurish I think."<\/p>\n

Along with Pascoe's actions in the dressing room, he was also pictured observing the side's warm-up before Brisbane's 46-12 victory.<\/p>\n

Hagipentelis went on to assure fans, the CEO has the full support of the board. \ufeff<\/p>\n

\ufeff"We're 100 per cent behind Justin, Justin gets criticism for signing certain players but doesn't get the credit for signing others," he said.<\/p>\n

"You know Greg (SEN Breakfast co-host Greg Alexander) how \ufeffit works, CEOs don't go out and sign players, CEOs don't go out and sign coaches, boards sign off on coaches, football departments sign off on players that the CEO may then go out and sign off.<\/p>\n

"He's not out there recruiting as such but that's not to absolve him of any responsibility or accountability. We're all responsible, all of us, we're a club and we're united and committed to this, no one is making any excuses … we need to turn it around and turn it around quickly."<\/p>\n
