Struggling fast bowler Mitchell Starc is "highly unlikely" to play for the Sydney Sixers in their BBL qualifier final on Saturday as he awaits the results of scans on both knees.<\/p>\n
Starc had the scans on Tuesday and the BBL champion Sixers released a statement on Thursday night ahead of their 1 v 2 clash with the Perth Scorchers in Canberra.<\/p>\n
"At this stage it is highly unlikely Mitch will be available to play this weekend," the Sixers said.<\/p>\n

"The club will not be making further comment until we have clarity on Mitch's availability.<\/p>\n
"Once the results have been received medical staff will determine his fitness and a conversation will be had between Mitch and the Sixers to assess his availability to play in any of the club's remaining games in BBL|10.<\/p>\n
Starc had troubles with his hamstring during the Test series loss to India, in which he was far from his lethal best.<\/p>\n
