John Millman says fans can expect a "rejuvenated" Nick Kyrgios, with the Aussie tennis star physically and mentally ready to go for next month's Australian Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kyrgios last played in February last year, a first round match against Frenchman Ugo Humbert at the Acapulco Open, which saw the Aussie retire after the first set due to a wrist injury.<\/p>\n

Having not played a match in nearly 12 months, Kyrgios, who once again became a favourite in the eyes of the Australian public for his bushfire relief efforts<\/a>, opted to remain home in Australia for much of 2020 due to safety concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Now ranked No.47 in the world, fans are eagerly awaiting the Aussies' return after Kyrgios impressed at the Australian Open last year with a fourth round appearance before going down to Rafael Nadal in a thrilling four-setter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And according to Millman, a fellow Aussie star, Australian tennis fans can expect big things with Kyrgios looking "fit" and "mentally" ready to return to the court.<\/p>\n

"I was in Canberra overnight, I wasn't hitting with him. He was hitting with Jordan Thompson and a couple of other guys," Millman told Wide World of Sports Radio.<\/em><\/p>\n

"I was on another court, but from what I saw he looked fit. He looked good mentally. He looked like he was in a good place.<\/p>\n

"I don't want to speak on behalf of him, but I reckon to an extent he probably missed his tennis a little bit. I think we're going to see a rejuvenated Nick Kyrgios.<\/p>\n

\"John<\/p>\n

"He's got a massive serve. He can race through those serves. He has so much power from the back of the court doing what he wants.<\/p>\n

"He's going to be really dangerous, especially if these courts are a little bit quicker.<\/p>\n

"He looked in good spirits when I was in Canberra."<\/p>\n
