The stunning decision from Chelsea's notoriously impatient owner Roman Abramovich comes after Lampard himself admitted that he was under pressure to retain his job.<\/p>\n

"It intensified for me a while ago," he said after the team's recent 2-0 loss to Leicester City. "Because the expectations at this club, whether they are right or wrong, are always high.\n<\/p>\n
