{"id":263816,"date":"2023-01-13T07:07:39","date_gmt":"2023-01-13T08:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=263816"},"modified":"2023-01-16T08:59:09","modified_gmt":"2023-01-16T08:59:09","slug":"new-formula-e-trophy-unveiled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=263816","title":{"rendered":"New Formula E trophy unveiled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                Ahead of the first race of Season 9 in the ABB FIA\u00a0Formula\u00a0E World Championship in Mexico City, Formula\u00a0E\u00a0has revealed a new set of race winners\u2019 trophies with an iconic design inspired by technology and\u00a0electrification as part of their new brand identity.<br \/>\nLondon-based studio Beta Design Office designed and\u00a0engineered the trophy to coincide with the debut of\u00a0Formula\u00a0E\u2019s new GEN3 race car \u2013 the fastest, lightest, most powerful and\u00a0efficient\u00a0electric race car\u00a0ever built.<br \/>\nThe\u00a0energy burst-like design of the new trophy is heavily inspired by the power features of the GEN3 \u2013 the third-generation\u00a0Formula\u00a0E\u00a0car racing at the very limit of innovation and pushing the boundaries of development in\u00a0EV technology. The first\u00a0electric open wheel race car to break 200mph, the GEN3 acts like a power station on wheels, generating more than 40% of\u00a0energy used in the race during the race itself, and more than doubling the regenerative capability of the previous GEN2 car to 600kW.<br \/>\nThe brief was to create an iconic new race trophy for the GEN3\u00a0era. It was vital that it conveyed\u00a0electrification, speed, and movement, whilst also retaining\u00a0elegance and modernity.<br \/>\nDesigners at Beta were influenced by real life components of the world\u2019s first all-electric motorsport world championship. The trophy comprises of 44 fins: 22 larger fins represent the 22 drivers competing in\u00a0Formula\u00a0E, and 22 smaller fins representing their cars on the track. The trophy form takes inspiration from\u00a0automotive spokes, heat sinks and cores within a power cable, combined with flowing lines seen in\u00a0automotive body panels.<br \/>\nAnodised aluminium was chosen as the primary material for its lightweight, rigid qualities, which also\u00a0enabled an accurate gold and silver colour-match. It was vital that the final creation felt high-end and premium in keeping with the FIA World Championship status of the sport.<br \/>\nHenry Chilcott, Chief Marketing Officer,\u00a0Formula\u00a0E, said:\u00a0<br \/>\n\u201cWe tasked Beta with creating a trophy that would be the pinnacle\u00a0expression of our new brand identity. Inspired by the instant torque of\u00a0electric acceleration, the trophy speaks to our sport\u2019s role as a powerful catalyst for change, whilst also capturing the\u00a0excitement and speed of\u00a0electric racing.
