Aussie tennis star Nick Kyrgios<\/a>' manager Daniel Horsfall has revealed the lengths he had to go to keep his gun client on the court during Kyrgios' first few years on tour.<\/p>\n

Kyrgios, along with Thanasi Kokkinakis<\/a>, will be the focal point of the first episode of Netflix's Break Point<\/em>, which chronicles the pair's run to the Australian Open<\/a> title in 2022, as well as off-court i\ufeffssues.<\/p>\n

Kyrgios first few years on tour were plagued with partying and mental health struggles.<\/p>\n

"I used to have your location on my phone, and on some mornings I would have to physically go and find where you were, what hotel you're at, whose house you're staying at," Horsfall said in the documentary.<\/p>\n

"Before tournaments, before a match … that was tough."<\/p>\n

In the documentary, which premieres on Friday, Kyrgios revealed<\/a> at that point his life was "spiralling out of control" and he was "drinking every single night".<\/p>\n

He credited\ufeff his new partner, Costeen Hatzi, for saving him after a 'chaotic' first few years on tour.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI was like – 'OK, I can't keep doing this'. I just had to be kinder to myself," he said.<\/p>\n

The excerpt also showed that he doubts he'll ever resume a 'full' tennis schedule again, saying the time away from loved ones wasn't worth it.<\/p>\n

"I value my family, my close, close friends and \ufeffCossie too much to put tennis in front of that anymore – I don't think that's healthy.<\/p>\n

"I don't really have any expectations now in my matches\ufeff – I just want to go out there, have fun, and take the pressure off, and we can kind of live more of a normal life – it's much better like this, that's for sure."<\/p>\n

Kyrgios is yet to play in Australia this summer, after an injury ruled him out of the United Cup<\/a> and Adelaide International.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHe won't play until the Australian Open begins on January 16.<\/p>\n
