The rift between the NBA's stars and some of the game's greats appears to be widening,<\/a> with Brooklyn Nets talent Kevin Durant launching a fresh swipe at Hall of Famer Charles Barkley.<\/p>\n

Durant has never shied away from his longstanding feud with Barkley, and he reignited the beef when he took to Instagram on Sunday.<\/p>\n

"I don't know why they still ask for this idiot's opinion," Durant wrote, in response to Barkley saying that athletes "deserve some preferential treatment" with coronavirus vaccines because they pay high taxes.<\/p>\n

That followed another apparent shot just days earlier when Durant commented on post, saying "Them old heads need to go enjoy retirement."<\/p>\n

Durant was responding to a post that asked why players today are "so sensitive" when given constructive criticism by all-time greats.<\/p>\n

The feud comes after a recent tense interview between basketball great Shaquille O'Neill and Utah Jazz star Donavon Mitchell in which Shaq bluntly told the up and comer "you don't have what it takes to get to the next level."<\/a><\/p>\n
