The Brisbane Heat have kept their finals hopes alive with a 26-run win over the Melbourne Renegades at Marvel Stadium.<\/p>\n
The Heat on Saturday claimed all four points on offer to momentarily move into fourth spot on the BBL ladder.<\/p>\n
With skipper Chris Lynn blasting 52 from 30 deliveries and Australian Test star Marnus Labuschagne adding 49 from 31, the Heat set the Renegades a big target of 174 to win.<\/p>\n
The Renegades' run chase couldn't have started any poorly with out of form skipper Aaron Finch lasting just two just balls before going lbw to a Mark Steketee delivery. The Melbourne captain's average with the bat is now at 14.42 for the BBL 10 season, well down from last season's average of 45.38.<\/p>\n

Despite Finch's early dismissal, Sam Harper, who finished with 57 off 32, kept the Renegades' run chase afloat.<\/p>\n
The Renegades found themselves in control of the match when they were 2\/91 after eleven overs before things took a turn for the worst when Harper, Jake Fraser-McGurk (7), Beau Webster (1) and Mackenzie Harvey (5) all departed. The Renegades were then 6\/106 with 4.5 overs remaining following the four dismissals which occurred in the space of 15 runs.<\/p>\n
Australian cricket great Shane Warne roasted the Renegades, labelling the squad "silly" and "reckless" for allowing a winning position to slip away.<\/p>\n
"The Renegades were 1\/56 after seven overs," Warne said on Fox Cricket.<\/em><\/p>\n "They were cruising. Then suddenly, they were 2\/91 off eleven overs and absolutely cruising.<\/p>\n "Then they lost 4 for 15 off three overs.
