Karachi: Off-spinner Sajid Khan credited his mother for supporting him throughout and dedicated the national team’s selection to her.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sharing his experience of attending the national team’s training camp for the first time in a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the 27-years-old said a dream came true for him after being selected among 20 players for South Africa Test.<\/p>\n

“It was my dream to represent my country. I was over the moon when my name was called among 20 players for the South Africa Test series. Here, I give credit to my mother who supported me throughout. I dedicate this selection to her,” he shared.<\/p>\n

Khan recalled his starting days and shared he used to go to his neighbors to watch Pakistan matches. “We didn’t have Tv at our home. I used to go to our neighbors to watch Pakistan matches,” he said.<\/p>\n

The off-spinner also shared his experience of attending the first-ever national team’s training. “I saw Saqlain Mushtaq, Waqar Younis, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq playing on the Tv screen. It was my dream to get a chance to play under them. Here’s my chance and I am making most of this opportunity to learn from them,” he mentioned.<\/p>\n

“I worked with Saqlain Bhai. He motivated me a lot and asked me to continue the Quaid-e-Azam trophy performance,” he concluded.<\/p>\n
