World No.77 Kamil Majchrzak<\/a> says he will fight to prove his innocence after testing positive to a banned substance.<\/p>\n

The Polish player confirmed the news in a social media post.<\/p>\n

"I have some incredibly sad and difficult news to share with everyone," he wrote.<\/p>\n

"I have tested positive in anti-doping controls during October and November 2022.<\/p>\n

"Firstly I have never\ufeff, ever, knowingly taken any banned substance.<\/p>\n

"At this moment I have no idea what has happened and this is the biggest shock.<\/p>\n

Majchrzak was due to represent Poland at the United Cup<\/a> which kicks off later this month.<\/p>\n

\ufeffEarlier this year the 26-year-old won all three of his matches to help Poland reach the semi finals of the ATP Cup, but Majchrzak contracted COVID-19 and had to withdraw.<\/p>\n

He reached the second round of the Australian Open<\/a> for the first time, going out in straight sets to Alex de Minaur.<\/p>\n

Majchrzak also reached the semi finals of the ATP event in Pune.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHis last tour-level match was a three-set loss to Nick Kyrgios in Tokyo in October.<\/p>\n
