Next year's Supercars<\/a> grid is all but complete with confirmation that Cameron Hill will join Matt Stone Racing in 2023.<\/p>\n

Fresh out of the Super2 Series, Hill will join Jack Le Brocq at the two-car team which will run a pair of Chevrolet Camaro touring cars under the new Gen3 regulations.<\/p>\n

Hill comes to the team with a wealth of experience having won the Australian Formula Ford Championship and Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.<\/p>\n

Hill is set to become the first Canberra-based driver to compete in Supercars since Dale Brede's sole season in 2004.<\/p>\n

"It has been a goal of mine for years to compete at the highest level here in Australia," said Hill.<\/p>\n

"We have massive potential here at MSR. The team has been building towards Gen3 for some time now.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Cameron<\/p>\n

"Everyone will have brand new cars, and I see it as a big opportunity for myself and the team to make an impact. It's the first time the playing field will have been level for years.<\/p>\n

"I am grateful that Matt and the team see my potential and are giving me this opportunity."<\/p>\n

Hill's confirmation is the final piece of the puzzle of the 2023 grid.<\/p>\n

Other major changes to next year's grid include the move of Tim Slade from the Blanchard Racing Team to PremiAir Racing alongside James Golding.<\/p>\n

Slade has been replaced by Todd Hazelwood, who occupied the seat now set to be taken by Hill at Matt Stone Racing.<\/p>\n

Lee Holdsworth's retirement has opened the door for up-and-coming Kiwi driver Matt Payne to join Grove Racing alongside 2017 Bathurst 1000 winner David Reynolds.<\/p>\n

Dick Johnson Racing, Erebus Motorsport, Team 18, Triple Eight Race Engineering, and Walkinshaw Andretti United will all field unchanged line-ups.<\/p>\n

Although Brad Jones Racing has not announced its driver pool beyond Andre Heimgartner, it is expected no changes will be made at the Albury outfit.<\/p>\n

That will see Bryce Fullwood, Macauley Jones, \ufeffand Jack Smith return.<\/p>\n

Outside of driver line-ups, Supercars will introduce two new cars for 2023.<\/p>\n

The new-look Ford Mustang and the all-new Chevrolet Camaro will go head-to-head.<\/p>\n

Walkinshaw Andretti United, which was once the factory Holden team, will now run a pair of Ford Mustangs.<\/p>\n

Supercars has not announced a full calendar for 2023, although the season will open its account on the streets of Newcastle on March 10-12.<\/p>\n

The championship will also feature on the undercard to the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne's Albert Park on March 30-April 2.<\/p>\n

This year's season will conclude with the Adelaide 500 on December 2-4.<\/p>\n
