Prince Abu Ibrahim of Johor has walked away uninjured from an enormous crash at Bathurst's<\/a> infamous Mount Panorama<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Driving the Triple Eight Race Engineering-run Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Jamie Whincup<\/a>, the Prince lost control of his car at the iconic McPhillamy Park.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim skated through the gravel and got airborne before making contact with the tyre wall, which sent the car into a pirouette and end-over-end before landing on its roof.<\/p>\n

The Prince was taken to the trackside medical centre for an evaluation and was released shortly thereafter with no injuries.<\/p>\n

The session was subsequently stopped and did not resume due to the recovery effort.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Wide World of Sports after the incident, Whincup said he was amazed his driver managed to walk away unscathed.<\/p>\n

"He's fine, which is all that matters really," said the team owner.<\/p>\n

"Massive shunt. The G-graph is out of control, both positive and negative \u2013 like, it's hitting the limit on both ends.<\/p>\n

"Huge, huge crash. I can't believe how fine he is for how big the impact on the data is.<\/p>\n

\"Trackside<\/p>\n

"He's fine. He wants to get out of the medical centre, but I just said, 'mate, with the G's we've seen, you're better off just sitting here for an hour. I know it's annoying, but it's best for you'.<\/p>\n

"The data shows 40G three or four times, positive and negative. Huge, boom boom boom, as he's rolling over. He's a tough little nugget."\u00a0<\/p>\n

The seven-time Supercars<\/a> champion said Ibrahim was surprisingly fast, considering it was his first time at The Mountain.<\/p>\n

"He was pushing hard," said Whincup.<\/p>\n

"First time at Bathurst. To do a [two-minute point] eight in one of these cars is pretty impressive.<\/p>\n

"He was green sectors. He was on a quicker lap again and he's just lost the rear over McPhillamy and that's got the car rolling in the gravel trap.<\/p>\n

"Then it's hit the fence and gone end for end."<\/p>\n

Whincup conceded his weekend in the No.88 entry is done with no plans to commit to an overnight rebuild.<\/p>\n

Neither Whincup nor Ibrahim are in contention for a championship having only committed to the series midway through.<\/p>\n

Despite the enormity of the incident, the car is repairable.<\/p>\n

"From a car on its roof at McPhillamy, it looks better than what I expect to be honest," Whincup admitted.<\/p>\n

"I expected the thing to be a bit of a canoe and unrecognisable. It sort of half looks like a racecar.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"There's no chance [to get it fixed] this weekend. There's no need for everyone to be doing an all-nighter tonight when we're not battling for the championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"We'll put it in the truck and analyse if there's any chassis damage."<\/p>\n

GT World Challenge Australia will be part of a blockbuster card across November 11-13, with its sole three-hour race on Sunday at 10:40am.<\/p>\n

All the action which will be shown live and ad-free on Stan Sport from 11:30am on Saturday and 8am on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Nine Network will also offer live free-to-air coverage on Saturday afternoon from 3pm on 9Gem.\ufeff<\/p>\n
