V\ufeffictoria crashed to its lowest Sheffield Shield<\/a> innings total in 95 years on Thursday, being routed for 63 runs by Queensland.<\/p>\n

But in another bright sign from Ashley Chandrasingh\ufeffe, the 20-year-old lasted 84 balls in a knock of 16 \u2014 a tremendous feat given the capitulation of his teammates on an Allan Border Field green-top.<\/p>\n

Chandrasinghe's\ufeff defiant innings followed an unbeaten 119 from 333 balls on his Sheffield Shield debut almost a fortnight earlier.<\/p>\n

In Brisbane on Thursday, the Victorians were at one stage 5-13, following the departures of former Australian Test batters Marcus Harris, Peter Handscomb and Nic Maddinson, as well as Travis Dean and Sam Harper.<\/p>\n

Victoria was rolled for its lowest Sheffield Shield innings total since a match against New South Wales at the SCG in January 1927, which saw the side skittled for 35.<\/p>\n

Mark Steketee (5-18) and Michael Neser (4-22) spearheaded Queensland's carnage on Thursday\ufeff, leading the way as the Bulls ripped through the Bushrangers in 32.4 overs.<\/p>\n

The Queenslanders also found batting difficult, with the Bulls 6-130 from 55 overs at stumps on day one.<\/p>\n
